德州扑克中所谓的“干燥”和“湿润”，是根据翻牌结构来划分的，两者没有明显的界限。
“干燥”通常指玩家的底牌比较难和翻牌圈发生联系，翻牌上没有很多的听牌，比如：K72彩虹牌（彩虹牌指任意两张牌都不是同色），Q22彩虹牌等。在这样的翻牌上，没有任何的顺子或者同花听牌，即为非常干燥的翻牌圈。
“湿润”通常指玩家的底牌很容易与翻牌圈发生联系，有很多顺子听牌或者同花听牌，或者直接形成了非常强的成手牌。例如JT9同色的翻牌圈，有同花和顺子的听牌。这种翻牌结构是非常湿润的，听牌和成手牌非常多。
在湿润的牌面上尽量不要冒险，特别是在已经出现了大对子、3花、3顺这类的公共牌时。对翻牌结构的解读是判断一个玩家是否是高手的重要评判标准。作为一个扑克玩家，必须要学会解读翻牌结构，从而制定自己的对策。保守应对湿润牌面，是所有德州扑克玩家应该共同遵守的原则，否则你会经常滑倒。
